About Our Founder

Matthew Williams, M.S.Ed. , is the lead consultant and founder of Pipeline Connect. As an engineer moving through the S.T.E.M. education pipeline, he experienced firsthand the many systemic gaps that needed to be filled and bridges that needed to be mended. From a young age, his passion for helping people succeed in whatever they set their mind to was evident in all of his work. This passion grew as he saw peers with similar career interests, move through the archaic pipeline and lose sight of the goal they had been pursuing together. He witnessed some of them take their eyes off the target and others' view blocked by life experiences. Upon graduation, Matthew remembered those who began the journey with him and was compelled to act on his true passion. He accepted the calling on his life to help others avoid the pitfalls, provide nurturing through the discouraging experiences, and prepare for successful STEM careers.

    As Matthew dug deeper into what it took for him and others to make it through the STEM education pipeline, he clearly recognized that this multifaceted problem required multifaceted solutions. His keen sense for determining root cause found that the critical issues inhibiting STEM pipeline progression transcended traditional education. Through his research and many experiences in the STEM education community, Matthew found that highly successful STEM professionals leveraged an array of resources to achieve results. This was the impetus for Pipeline Connect. Partnering to create networks of support that connect students to the resources needed to successfully go from interested in STEM subjects to becoming STEM professionals.
