Pipeline Connect partnered with Grant Fundamentals LLC, to offer professional development for teacher evaluation. Leadership for Educators Academy for Driving Economic Revitalization in Science (LEADERS), a program funded by the National Science Foundation, is a mathematics and science partnership that gathers and merges the expertise of four essential entities in the economic revitalization of the Great Lakes Region—K-12 school districts, higher education, the renewable energy industry, and informal science education sites. The core partners  of the LEADERS partnership share a vision of student-centered education that knits community economic growth with science education.The goal of LEADERS is to improve science education by making it relevant to students through the incorporation of Project-Based Science (PBS) that is linked to the renewable energies industry and its environmental impacts, which is becoming a vital element in the economic development of the Great Lakes Region.

This program was built and facilitated by Pipeline Connect’s founder, Matthew R. Williams. It is a 3rd-12th grade after-school program with Next Generation Science aligned curriculum that focused on teaching students engineering and science content through project-based learning. These projects brought high-level concepts to life using prior knowledge and everyday activities to learn real-world applicable skills adjusted to each age level.

Pipeline Connect is currently partnering with Incite Focus to build curriculum around what might be one of the smallest and most affordable CNC Machines. A CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machine is a tool used in prototyping and full production for cutting, carving, machining and milling in wood, plastics, foams, and aluminum.

Pipeline Connect's Matthew Williams is on the leadership council for the Southeast Michigan STEM Alliance. The council consists of a regional leaders from business, government, and community organizations to provide key insight to enable cross-sector collaborations that create powerful STEM education and talent development opportunities for Michigan. Our organization also supports the STEM Alliance in fundraising and sponsorship drives and event design.

Pipeline Connect serves as a technical partner for the Downtown boxing gym. Together we are creating a better STEAM pipeline by exposing their students to 21st century skills and innovative STEAM projects and speakers in the gym's STEAM lab. This after school enrichment programs takes inner city students and gives them access to additional athletic and educational STEAM resources.
